FAM International is represented in 10 countries in Latin America and more than 50 missionary units working in different parts of the world. As president of FAM International, Mario Lemus, is responsible on the administrative and ministerial matters of the FAM International office. He is also the FAM representative in missionary activities in local churches, forums and international missiological consultations. One of his most important activities is to promote strategic partnerships with international associations of churches and missionary agencies in order to facilitate the sending of missionaries to all nations. Yesika Lemus is involved on the recruitment and psychological evaluation of FAM International candidates in Guatemala. Also, Mario and Yesika are founders of “Comunidad de Fe” Church in Santa Catarina Pinula. Mario is the General Coordinator of the Christian Arts Festival, an event held annually, which seeks to bring the Gospel in a creative way to the people of Santa Catarina Pinula. Mario has worked with other pastors to found the “Asociación de Pastores de Santa Catarina Pinula ADEPA” (Pastor’s Association of Santa Catarina Pinula) and currently is Vice President of the Board.

The Mobilization of churches and Latin American missionaries to all nations

Mario Lemus graduated with a Bachelor of Transcultural Missions from the Central American Theological Seminary (SETECA), 2006. In 2007 he joined the FAM Guatemala team, as the Assistant of Missionary Promotion and Education. In 2008 he was appointed Executive Secretary of FAM Guatemala. Mario has served as FAM Guatemala CEO since 2013. In June 2014 he was appointed Vice President of FAM International and in May 2015 he was elected as President of FAM International. Yesika González graduated as a Clinical Psychologist, from the Faculty of Psychology of the Universidad Mariano Galvez of Guatemala, 2008. On December 14, 2008 she married Mario Lemus. Yesika is a teacher and spent more than six years teaching. In 2012 she joined FAM Guatemala as a volunteer, supporting in the area of recruitment and psychological evaluation of candidates. Mario and Yesika celebrated the birth of their first child, Joshua Isaac Lemus Gonzalez, on July 7th 2014.
